Saxophonist Stefanie Leipertz, based in Oldenburg, and pianist Faraz Forouzandeh present a diverse concert programme that brings together Baroque clarity, Impressionist colour and Romantic fullness of sound.
Faraz Forouzandeh (born 1993) grew up in Tehran and began playing piano at the age of eight with Arpine Israelyan. In 2015 he moved to Germany and studied piano pedagogy at Hochschule für Künste Bremen under Prof. Patrick O'Byrne and Martin von der Heydt, earning his bachelor's degree in 2019. In parallel, he completed training in piano physiology with Laurent Boullet in Berlin. He completed his master's degree (Music and Mediation - piano as principal subject) at Musikhochschule Münster in the class of Prof. Clemens Rave.
He is currently studying concert piano at Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen in the class of Nata Tsvereli. He regularly receives artistic guidance from Christoph Keller, with whom he continues artistic coaching. He also participated in master classes with Pablo Galdo, Alan Fraser and László Gyimesi. In 2019 he performed as a soloist with the Bremen Philharmonic under the direction of Elias Grandy.
As a pedagogue, he has taught at music schools in Tehran, Bremen, Hamburg and Emden. He currently works as a piano teacher at Musikschule des Landes Diepholz.
Saxophonist Stefanie Leipertz, based in Oldenburg, began playing saxophone at the age of nine. She studied classical saxophone at the renowned Amsterdam Conservatory in the class of Prof. Arno Bornkamp and subsequently completed a master's degree in Cultural Management and Cultural Tourism at Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder).
After her studies, she worked as a versatile artist in Berlin and established herself in chamber ensembles with harp, accordion and in a saxophone quartet.
