Profeti della Quinta

Profeti della Quinta is an internationally active vocal ensemble specializing in music of the 16th and early 17th centuries. The ensemble combines historically informed performance practice with scholarly research and is dedicated to rediscovering forgotten works - including Salomone Rossi's Hashirim asher li'Shlomo.

Founded by bassist and harpsichordist Elam Rotem in Galilee, Profeti della Quinta is now based in Switzerland; all members studied early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Following their victory in the York Early Music Young Artists Competition in 2011, the ensemble performs worldwide and has released a multi-award-winning discography of late Renaissance music.
