Profeti della Quinta

Profeti della Quinta is an internationally active vocal ensemble focused on music of the 16th and early 17th centuries.

Working within historically informed performance practice, the ensemble combines scholarly research with vivid, expressive interpretation, with a particular dedication to rediscovering neglected works - among them Salomone Rossi's Hashirim asher li'Shlomo.

Founded by bassist and harpsichordist Elam Rotem in Galilee, the ensemble is now based in Switzerland; all members studied early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Following their win at the York Early Music Young Artists Competition in 2011, Profeti della Quinta has performed worldwide and built a widely acclaimed discography of late Renaissance music.
