The Frog King

Theater GegenStand's production of "The Frog King" tells the story of a vain princess who must learn to overcome her fear and keep her promise.

The princess loses her golden ball while playing by a well. A slimy frog comes to her rescue - and he has a price. He will retrieve her beloved toy from the depths, but only if she agrees to something in return: he wants to be her companion, eat and drink with her, and sleep in her little bed. She carelessly makes the promise. But once she has her golden ball back, she runs away - and the frog follows. When the frog turns up at the castle to claim what was promised, she regrets her words, and fulfilling his wishes proves very hard for her...

The play stays close to the Brothers Grimm original - it is gripping, has plenty of laughs, and appeals to children and adults alike. Suitable from age 4.
