"New Choices" is the latest album by the quartet Jin Jim, founded in 2013. The four musicians showcase their distinctive and convincing blend of prog, hard rock, and jazz - as the American magazine "Downbeat" characterised it: "a range from Hawkwind to Herbie Mann". Jin Jim won the "Future Sounds" competition at the Leverkusen Jazz Days right at the start of their career. Until 2020, they undertook numerous tours across Europe, South and Central America, and Africa; in 2022 they also toured India and Nepal. In Germany, they have performed at Jazz-Baltica, Jazzrally Düsseldorf, and the Dresden Jazz Days. "New Choices" is the band's third album after "Die Ankunft" (2015) and "Weiße Schatten" (2018, released by ACT), impressively confirming their qualities - more accessible, powerful, and compact than ever before.
