Clive Carroll

Clive Carroll performed with a banjo before an audience at just two years old, reciting nursery rhymes - an early sign of extraordinary stage talent. He grew up in a family band, played in various groups and styles as a teenager, and later studied guitar and composition at the prestigious Trinity College of Music in London. A tour with master guitarist John Renbourn marked the beginning of his career as a composer and guitarist; many experts today count him among the world's finest fingerstyle guitarists.

Carroll has performed with artists such as Mark Knopfler and Tommy Emmanuel, composed film scores for numerous films and television series, and in 2023 paid tribute to his teacher John Renbourn with the project "The Abbot".
