Stocherkahn Boat Tour - Themed Excursion

The Enz river played a central role in the tanning industry in Vaihingen: it supplied the necessary water, and the mill canal branching off from it served until the 1950s as a transport route between the tanneries and the bark mill. By boat, ground bark - the raw material for leather processing - was transported along the canal to the tanners.

This themed excursion recalls that tradition. The boat ride shows the city on the river from an unusual perspective.
