Stand-up comedian from Duisburg wows audiences / Solo tour continues in 2025
Young, likeable and above all funny - that's TONY BAUER. This passionate comedian from Duisburg shook up the German comedy scene in no time. With his distinctive humour and a remarkable life story, he has built a name for himself and taken stages across the country.
Tony Bauer has short bowel syndrome, a serious medical condition that requires him to receive nutrients continuously through a tube. Rather than letting his illness define him, Tony chose to face it with a grin and step onto the comedy stage. His motto, which he lives by and embodies in every show, is: "Wir müssen erst ein paar Mal sterben, bevor wir einmal cool leben dürfen" (We have to die a few times first before we're allowed to live cool). That attitude sums up his positive energy and drive.
Since 2022, Tony Bauer has won over audiences with his quick wit and self-deprecating humour. One of his very first appearances - at the "NightWash" laundromat show - earned him a spot on Europe's biggest stage: at the 1LIVE Comedy-Nacht XXL in October 2022, he performed to over 13,000 people.
In spring 2024, he charmed TV audiences as a contestant on "Let's Dance", and RTL subsequently brought him in as a juror on "Das Supertalent".
From autumn 2024, he has been touring Germany with his debut solo show "Fallschirmspringer". After tickets for the autumn '24 leg sold out almost immediately, the tour continues into 2025.
With wit, charm and a view of the world through his "Duisburg-Marxloh glasses", Tony Bauer takes the audience on a ride through his daily life, his neighbourhood, his hood. He talks about Hassan, his grandparents, living with short bowel syndrome, and the fact that he has a life after death - and quite a good one at that.
