Description was written before the event

Irvine Welsh, author of the cult novel "Trainspotting", comes to Munich for a literary evening. He reads from his works - including "Trainspotting" and "Men in Love" - and talks about his writing.

About: Irvine Welsh

Irvine Welsh is a Scottish novelist best known for Trainspotting (1993), a raw portrait of Edinburgh heroin addicts written in thick Scots dialect. Danny Boyle adapted it into a film in 1996, with Ewan McGregor in the lead role. Welsh has continued writing fiction that mixes dark humour with biting social commentary.
