Silvie Breton, an aspiring fashion designer, lands what seems like a dream internship with the famous fashion icon Charlotte Sandler. But the glamorous job turns into a nightmare. Silvie ends up doing all the work on the new collection while Charlotte basks in the spotlight at social events.

Just before the long-awaited fashion show, Charlotte forces Silvie to completely renovate the event hall overnight. On top of that, Silvie must give up her hotel room to the band "The Dark Fairground". And to cap it off, Charlotte hands her a tiny dog named FrouFrou and jets off to her next vernissage.
When a piercing scream rings out and the police can't arrive in time, Silvie remembers her father, village police officer Luc Breton, and launches her own investigation. What happened? Were there casualties?
