Open Air Cinema - Extrawurst

"Extrawurst" is a social comedy directed by Marcus H. Rosenmüller, based on the stage play of the same name by Dietmar Jacobs and Moritz Netenjakob.

The story takes place at the annual general meeting of a small tennis club in rural Germany: a seemingly harmless proposal - a second barbecue grill for the club's only Muslim member, Erol - spirals into a heated argument about cultural differences, prejudice, religion and social cohesion.

The cast includes Hape Kerkeling, Christoph Maria Herbst, Fahri Yardım and Anja Knauer. Sharp-tongued and ironic, the film takes on the contradictions of a pluralist society.
