London, late 19th century. The rigid moral codes of the Victorian age shape the city's character - yet it is in Soho that something sinister begins to stir. An exceptionally violent man first terrorises London's entertainment district, then the whole city. One name keeps coming up: Mr. Hyde. The police cannot catch him; his trail vanishes every time in mysterious fashion - until one day it leads to the house of Dr. Jekyll.
The ambitious young doctor insists that Hyde poses no danger. Until Hyde commits murder. A suspicion takes hold: are Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde one and the same person?
The play explores the riddle of good and evil - with suspense, understated moments of dread, a touch of frivolity, and dry humour. Stage adaptation and direction: Peter W. Hermanns.
