Beppe Gambetta: Terra Madre
Schlosskeller Marbach, Germany
23 €
Beppe Gambetta, superstar of the acoustic guitar scene and master of fingerpicking, returns to the Marbach Schlosskeller. This time he brings his brand-new album TERRA MADRE.
TERRA MADRE (Mother Earth) is a musical key that opens the door to a world full of stories and dreams. The album brings together the experience and wisdom of a fifty-year career, enriched by collaborations with internationally renowned guests from diverse musical genres.
Gambetta, born in Genoa in 1955, is simultaneously a guitarist, singer, researcher, and composer. His latest work reflects his own distinctive style, artfully blending American and European roots with his voice. He mixes energetic grooves with passionate melodies and revives historical sources from different eras and places. In his own compositions, contemporary influences seamlessly interweave with traditional roots music. Gambetta tirelessly travels between Europe and America to create a fascinating musical fusion: American roots music and Ligurian tradition, emigrant songs and folk ballads, steel-string guitars and historic harp guitars do not merely coexist for him - they interact. A profound dialogue emerges that defies any rigid classification.
"From the first note, a horizon of relaxed virtuosity opens to the listener... everything here is mixed with sensational finesse, a constant, vibrant and silken sound caresses the listener's ear with ever-growing enthusiasm" writes Michael Lohr about him (from: Akustik Gitarre).
