String Quartet Minguet-Quartett

The Minguet Quartett ranks among the most internationally sought-after string quartets today, performing in the world's great concert halls. Its interpretations - as passionate as they are intellectually refined - consistently captivate audiences. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung wrote: "the joy of sound and expression with which the ensemble brings the works to life animates even the smallest detail".

The quartet takes its name from Pablo Minguet, an 18th-century Spanish philosopher who devoted his writings to making the fine arts accessible to ordinary people. The Minguet Quartett feels more committed to that idea than ever. The ensemble draws equally on the classical-romantic canon and the music of the modern era.

The programme features Bach's "The Art of Fugue" (Contrapuncti I, 4, 6 & 9), Mozart's String Quartet KV 421, and Brahms's String Quartet op. 51 No. 1.
