Songs, music and participatory theatre... for children aged three and up

Step right up, step right up...
"Flohzirkus Orquestra" is a three-piece children's song band from the western Enzkreis district, between Pforzheim and Karlsruhe. Since January 2012 they have built their repertoire on classic acoustic instruments - guitar, mandolin, melodica, accordion and drums. Every song and lyric is an original composition.

The band is known for its colourful mix of reggae, ska, chanson and folk. Their show takes audiences into the worlds of the circus, sailors, animals and other vivid themes.

How can a brave helmsman be afraid of water? A pirate treasure must be found, an ant wishes it were a centipede, and right in the middle of the show the phone rings. And why does a black cat invite everyone to a cat concert...? Question after question - answered together with the children in a playful, musical way.

The programme is rounded out with clownish interludes, magic tricks and join-in activities that rarely leave a dry eye among young or old audience members. The three-piece "orchestra" keeps pulling the crowd back in right to the very end - and sends them home just a little bit braver.
