Aufbruch Moderne

SWR Vokalensemble performs at Peterskirche Leipzig on Saturday, 3 October 2026 at 18:30. This is one of two German dates for the ensemble this season. The evening focuses on choral music spanning from Messiaen to Polish compositions from the medieval period to the present day. Under the direction of Yuval Weinberg, the ensemble opens with Olivier Messiaen's "Cinq Rechants" for twelve solo voices. SWR Vokalensemble then joins forces with Landesjugendchor Baden-Württemberg (conducted by Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny) to perform works that bridge tradition and contemporary expression. Admission: 35 €.
