As part of the chor.com Saturday series, the Zurich Sing-Akademie shapes the transition from evening into night - musically and programmatically. The ensemble moves between tradition and modernity, between different cultures of choral music. The central work is the title piece "Naht zur Nacht" by Swiss composer Beat Vögele, a commissioned work that captures the mood of encroaching darkness through microintervals. It is framed by compositions devoted to night and transience.
