Five musicians from the Bundesjugendorchester founded this brass quintet in 2007 to share their passion for chamber music and intimate ensemble playing. The group quickly won numerous awards at international competitions and has since delighted audiences with concerts worldwide and festival appearances from Schleswig-Holstein to the Rheingau.
Through thematically designed programmes, the ensemble strikes a balance between the highest musical standards and engaging listening pleasure.
Their repertoire centres on original compositions complemented by striking arrangements. In this way, the quintet - whose musicians perform with leading institutions such as the Konzerthausorchester and Deutsche Oper Berlin, Festspielorchester Bayreuth, and the Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble - aims not only to write music to their taste but also to significantly expand the brass instrument repertoire. Brilliant!
At 18:00, a conversation between composer Kerry Turner and artistic director Adrian Adlam will take place as part of a composer portrait. Free admission!
