The inaugural concert of the festival ensemble camerata freden features Franz Schubert's Fantasy in F minor, Georges Enescu's Suite op. 10, Bedřich Smetana's Polkas, and Antonín Dvořák's Piano Quartet in D major. Pianists Boris Krajny and Thomas Hell will perform both four-hand and solo works, accompanied by the string section of the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover. This is compelling music that captivates through the rhythmic vitality of the Slavic tradition.

At 6 p.m., a vernissage opens for an exhibition of dance drawings, figure studies, and acrylic works by Luxembourgian artist Rita Gierens. The introduction will be given by Dr. Gabriele Lohberg, former director of the European Academy of Art in Trier. Free admission!
