El Puro Arte Flamenco - Guido Duclos - Flamenco - Guitar Concert
Gemeindezentrum Wilhelmskirche, Bad Nauheim, Germany
Flamenco guitarist Guido Duclos captivates his audience with the world of authentic flamenco - powerful, unadulterated, and full of expression. His music is rooted in the centuries-old Andalusian tradition of southern Spain and fascinatingly blends it with modern sound aesthetics and timeless elegance.
With impressive virtuosity and commanding stage presence, Guido Duclos shapes his concerts as intense musical experiences. His playing is simultaneously powerful and finely nuanced, profound and full of joie de vivre. His "Toque" - the characteristic rhythmic technique of flamenco - stands out for its exceptional depth, precision, and palpable physical intensity.
A German-Catalan raised in Australia, he now lives in Málaga and Bad Nauheim. He completed his musical training at the Elder Conservatorium of Music in Adelaide, where he studied concert guitar and composition. Long before his studies, he performed regularly on stage and gave concerts in Australia and internationally - including in Indonesia, Singapore, southern India, and Europe.
His repertoire encompasses a diverse selection of traditional flamenco "Palos," including Bulerías, Fandangos, Tangos, and Soleares. He also interprets works by renowned Spanish composers such as Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, and the "Canciones" of Federico García Lorca in his own arrangements for flamenco guitar. The programme is rounded out with rousing Gipsy Rumbas and Sevillanas.
