Great film melodies in the ARTango sound
The music of South America and France has captivated ARTango from the start: from the melancholic tango of Argentina through the exuberant samba of Brazil, from the sentimental rumba of Cuba to the virtuosic musette waltz of France - the breadth of this world music is immense! Now we have taken on striking film melodies. Listen to what we've created...
The spirit of Brazil expresses itself in samba and bossa nova. To the samba, ARTango adds the magnificent "Tonight" from Leonard Bernstein's musical "West Side Story". The jazz standard "Manha de Carneval" from the cult film "Orfeo Negro" cannot be missing as a captivating bossa nova! In tango, Argentina takes the lead. The tango of all tangos, "Libertango", is heard in "Frantic" with Harrison Ford, among others. The title melodies of James Bond films are earworms. "Dr. No" appears in ARTango as an exciting tango nuevo, as does the spy thriller "Mission: Impossible". It becomes sentimental with the tango based on the wonderful film melody from "Il Postino".
France also brings catchy film melodies. The musette waltzes from the film "Sous le ciel de Paris" are timeless. "La vie en rose" is a film about the life of Edith Piaf and a wonderful chanson for ARTango. "Great Movie Tunes" lets you feel the great potential of these film melodies.
Immerse yourself in this wonderful film world - your imagination can run wild! It is presented by musicians known on the Stuttgart jazz scene: saxophone/flute - Jürgen Häussler, accordion - Thomas Ott, guitar - Michael Nessmann, double bass - Helmut Siegle.
