Tavern Tales "In Fürth, there's nothing but Jews and innkeepers"
took place · 4 Sep 2026
Gauklerbrunnen, Fürth, Germany
Description was written before the event
"...and whoever has not seen a Jew and an innkeeper has not been to Fürth", wrote Erhard Andreas Saueracker in 1786. The city of the cloverleaf still has no shortage of taverns and inns today.
On this staged walk through the old town, a guide leads the way together with eight actors, weaving stories about wine, beer and Fürth's tavern culture - accompanied by the occasional more or less historical drink.
