This year the Einhaldenfestival kicks off on Wednesday with a film premiere. The open-air cinema on the festival meadow will screen "Soulfood Balkan Style" for the very first time - a vivid portrait of the Balkan folk ensemble Foaie Verde. The film takes us on a journey to the people behind the music, tracing their life paths back to their roots.

Before daylight fades and the projector rolls, the band will warm up the audience with a live set. Foaie Verde's music is rooted in the Balkans and full of stories. Romanian folklore, Bulgarian and Turkish melodies, rapid runs and quiet passages weave together into a sound that is virtuosic, tradition-steeped and full of personal passion.

Alongside the four instrumentalists and vocalist Katalin Horvath, the film crew will also be present at the premiere. Everyone is looking forward to meeting the Einhaldenfestival audience.
