Salute to Johann Strauss - Ansbacher Kammerorchester - Alexander Ilg

On Friday 6.11.26 and Saturday 7.11.26, the Ansbacher Kammerorchester under the direction of Alexander Ilg presents an extraordinary concert in the Hirsvogelsaal of Tucherschloss Nuremberg.

Alexander Ilg, known as the "Franconian Johann Strauss", has composed a new programme for this concert and builds on the great success of his debut in February 2025, which was received with enthusiasm by both audiences and critics. According to FLZ, Ilg employs the Strauss vocabulary with an artless, playful joy and freely models new pieces after the masters - his marches have verve and his waltz melodies have charm (Wirth, Thomas: Wienerisches aus Wendelstein. Of course, works by his famous colleague Johann Strauss cannot be missing from such an evening, and they enter into a congenial dialogue with Ilg's new creations. Moderator Renate Schneider will humorously guide the audience through the evening.
