Una noche en BUENOS AIRES
Sensual, melancholic, raw, traditional and alive to this day - in one night in Buenos Aires, the Freiburger Akkordeon Orchester, led by ZMF prize-winner Volker Rausenberger, takes you through the full spectrum of tango. From Tango Argentino through classical tango and more modern Argentine music to Tango Nuevo - and beyond.
The FAO performs alongside the remarkable singer Josefina Aymonino from La Plata, Argentina, who has worked with none other than Amelita Baltar, Piazzolla's long-time companion. Together they present a singular kaleidoscope of tango.
With reminiscences tracing Astor Piazzolla's life - from his early years in Buenos Aires through his studies in Paris and their lasting influence, to his later years in New York. A thrilling tango mix for a thrilling night in Buenos Aires.
