Michael Martin - TERRA

TERRA is a photographic and geographical portrait of our Earth. For five years, Michael Martin traveled the world with his camera, photographing in the Arctic, the Himalayas, the Andes, the South Pacific, Arabia, the Amazon basin, the savannas of East Africa, and the taiga of Siberia and the steppes of Central Asia. This resulted in ten faces of Earth, which alongside fascinating landscapes showcase animals, plants, and cultures from all climate zones of our planet.

Beyond his global adventures, Michael Martin explored the history of Earth itself - a planet that emerged from chaos 4.5 billion years ago and evolved into a world full of life and diversity. He illustrates how Earth was flourishing when humans arrived on the stage of life 180,000 years ago and began to shape it, and subsequently to destroy it.
