Melanie's life is going great: her father Helmut makes her co-manager of the Coco-Jambo bar, and she falls head over heels for Milan, a recent refugee from Bosnia. But Uncle Claus, who had his eye on the top job himself, plots revenge by striking a shady deal with a gang of skinheads. They get Helmut thrown in jail, install Claus as the new boss, and take over the bar.

Melanie goes on the run and finds shelter in the tiny shop of a crew of inline-skating Supersoaker activists. Milan's rescue attempt falls flat at first - it takes the distress calls of her Tamagotchi to bring her back. Disguised as a boyband, she and her friends take on hatred, bigotry, and the evils of the 90s world - backed by the greatest hits of a wild and colourful decade.
