Things couldn't be going better for Melanie: her father Helmut has just made her co-boss of the Coco-Jambo Bar. And then there's Milan, recently fled from Bosnia, with whom she falls head over heels at first sight. But Melanie's scheming uncle Claus is furious at being passed over for the job. Out of spite, he strikes a dark deal with a gang of bald thugs - they throw Helmut in jail, install Claus as the new boss, and take over the Coco-Jambo Bar.

Melanie goes on the run and finds shelter with a group of inline-skating, Supersoaker-wielding activists who run a tiny shop. Milan's rescue attempt falls short, but the distress calls from her Tamagotchi convince Melanie to go back. Together with her friends, disguised as a boyband, she takes on hatred, bigotry, and all the evil the 90s had to offer - backed by the greatest hits of that wild, neon-coloured decade!
