Gerhard Polt & Ardhi Engl

For nearly 10 years they have occasionally shared a stage: Ardhi Engl, the Sumatran-Bavarian, and Gerhard Polt, a native Bavarian with Franconian and Austrian roots. Both are driven by an insatiable curiosity.

One explores and discovers instruments, which he says he "back-breeds" all the way to their primordial sound. Bavarian broadcaster BR calls him the "Valentin of tones". The other, Polt, has been fascinated since he can remember by what makes us human.
