Gerhard Polt & Well Brüder - Apropos

Well Brüder is the name of the new trio formed by Christoph, Michael and Karl Well after the break-up of "Biermösl-Blosn". Playing a wide range of instruments with real virtuosity, they comment on Bavarian life with a distinctly local, irreverent wit. Gerhard Polt sits on stage almost as an afterthought - a peripheral figure amid all the musical hardware. But when he rises for one of his monologues, the stage shrinks around him: the force he commands is immense, and unsettling. What he conjures is the banality of everyday malice - the kind you'd rather sidestep in a pub, a supermarket queue, on the bus, or anywhere else.
