Martin Kälberer - INTO THE LIGHT

Grand piano, Fender Rhodes, handpan, percussion, voice, vibrandoneon, live loops and electronics - all played by one man on stage. Martin Kälberer weaves these instruments into a single, unified sound body. In an almost trance-like state he moves between them, playing several at once or in sequence, layering recordings on top of each other to build his floating, pulsating soundscapes.

His new album INTO THE LIGHT is released first in November 2025 as a limited vinyl edition, featuring two pieces recorded directly onto vinyl using the direct-cut method. From 30 January the CD follows, with additional new compositions that Kälberer is now presenting live on the "INTO THE LIGHT - TOUR".

The fusion of acoustic and electronic sounds is more intense here than ever before. Rediscovering several old analogue synthesizers that had been gathering dust in his sound archive for years opened a new window into his sonic universe. Their shimmering, rich and often pulsating tones expand the overall sound picture like a new dimension - without ever becoming dominant or aggressive. Everything remains spontaneous and handcrafted, intuitive and atmospheric. Music beyond genre - moving, and at times as if from another world.
