An electro-acoustic journey towards the light

Grand piano, Fender Rhodes, handpan, percussion, voice, vibrandoneon, live loops and electronics - and one man on stage.

With Martin Kälberer, all these instruments merge into a single, expansive sound body. Almost in a trance, he plays several instruments in succession or simultaneously, records them, layers more on top, and builds his floating, pulsating soundscapes from the ground up.

His new album INTO THE LIGHT is released first in November 2025 as a limited vinyl edition - with two pieces recorded directly onto vinyl using the direct-cut method. From 30 January, the CD follows with additional new compositions, which Kälberer now presents live on the "INTO THE LIGHT - TOUR".

The fusion of acoustic and electronic sounds is more intense here than ever before. Rediscovering several old analogue synthesizers that had been gathering dust in his sound archive for years opened a new window into his sonic universe. Shimmering, rich, often pulsating electronic tones expand the sound picture like a new dimension - without ever becoming dominant or aggressive.

Everything remains spontaneous and handcrafted, intuitive and atmospheric. Music beyond genre - moving, and at times as if from another world.
