Volker Weininger - Der Sitzungspräsident - Filmriss

Things are going well for the Sitzungspräsident right now: he slipped away from the morning drinking session at 7 pm, got re-elected at the annual general meeting with 104 percent of the vote, and a long-overdue promotion is finally waiting for him at work. If only he knew where he put that wretched school-leaving certificate he still needs for his application!

So he sits down in his basement bar, cracks open a beer and starts searching - in the box where he keeps everything: certificates, unpaid bar tabs, diplomas, medals, photos, love letters, parking tickets, his first Kölsch glass from his First Communion. And as he rummages through it all, the stories come back to him one by one - stories he might have forgotten without the box: first day of school, first Kölsch, first kiss (all on the same day!), wedding, kids, club trips - and of course Hermann, his friend whose life hovers at the very edge of intellectual capacity.

In his second solo show, Volker Weininger takes the audience on an autobierographical journey through his eventful life. The Kölsch and the gags keep coming thick and fast. Some things he can no longer remember all that clearly - hence the blackout. But luckily there's the box and the odd eyewitness who can fill in the gaps. That certificate has to be somewhere!
