A concert and reading to mark the 70th anniversary of Bertolt Brecht's death.

Brecht is still alive - 70 years after his death. His texts feel so current that he would probably have plenty to say to us today, in his inimitable poetic style. Mackie Messer in a Trump or Musk suit, as a Cum-Ex schemer or a war profiteer - the images come easily.

Claudia Michelsen guides the audience through the realm of Brecht's art, while Frank Fröhlich weaves his lines into guitar arrangements. His takes on popular songs, folk tunes, and pieces by Weill and Eisler add up to an irreverent mix. Nobody stares romantically. Brecht would approve.
