Helene Bockhorst - LEBEFRAU
Capitol Lichtspieltheater, Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany
24 €
Comedy & Tragedy
Helene Bockhorst's new show is an ode to life. Dark humour meets colourful outfits and silliness as she tackles the uncomfortable questions: why is a man who enjoys himself a bon vivant, while a woman is just a slut? Should you carry on family traditions no matter what, even when those traditions are depression and unhealthy coping mechanisms? What can I do for a better world - without going to too much trouble? And am I at least one of the more interesting cases for my therapist?
With her open and honest style, she takes the audience on an emotional rollercoaster where funny observations about everyday life sit alongside experiences that genuinely change you. Running through it all is the question of how to hold on to lightness and hope even when times are hard.
A show about trauma, depression, resilience - and the fact that there is always something to laugh about, even when life isn't going the way you'd like.
