David Bowie Symphony - The Celebration Concert - performed by MILAN DEVINNE & THE THIN WHITE DUKE ORCHESTRA — Zentralgebäude Leuphana Universität, Lüneburg

David Bowie's art transformed pop music into high art. The "David Bowie Symphony" project celebrates this icon on a grand, contemporary scale: orchestral sound and rock energy merge into an electrifying live experience that makes the visionary's work newly audible and tangible - respectful, meticulous, and deeply emotional.

The production is a symphonic expansion of "Mr. Bowie - The Reality Show" by vocalist Milan Devinne. Known for his extraordinary vocal range and authentic approach to Bowie's musical universe, Devinne breathes new life into classics like "Space Oddity", "Heroes", "Life on Mars?", and "Let's Dance". The arrangements emphasize the dramaturgical power of the songs while preserving their essence - a tribute with heart, precision, and profound respect.

International team for world-class sound
Musical direction is led by Italian conductor and arranger Andrea Bonaldo, who unites orchestra and rock band into a cohesive whole. On guitar is Peter Pohl, whose work with Falco, Opus, and Supergau establishes him as one of Europe's most accomplished rock guitarists. The audiophile framework is provided by Helmut Scheiber, an Austrian sound engineer with credits ranging from Status Quo through Boney M to Chris Norman - ensuring transparent, powerful sonic aesthetics from front to back.

Exclusive voices from Bowie's circle
A special element of the evening is a brief documentary before the show begins. Featuring: Richard Young (legendary British photographer of David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, The Rolling Stones, and members of the royal family), Thierry Amsallem (CEO of the Montreux Jazz Festival and close friend of Bowie), and Peter Freestone (longtime personal assistant to Freddie Mercury and collaborator of David Bowie). Their memories offer a rarely intimate perspective on Bowie's world and frame the concert evening thematically.
