From the Past to the Future

The internationally acclaimed Latvian Voices bring Baltic folk songs to life in a cappella arrangements that weave together tradition and contemporary harmony. Set in dialogue with German folk songs, the programme draws out shared threads across different folk traditions and explores how singing can build community across borders.

The audience is not just there to listen: visitors are invited to join in through whispering, wind and rain sounds, humming familiar melodies, and other sonic gestures.
