Zaz is back with a new album - personal, mature, and musically rebalanced. "Sains & Saufs", released on 19 September, is her sixth studio album and marks a turning point. After years of touring the world, she wanted to create something that starts from within. The lyrics are autobiographical, the themes deeply personal - shaped by the death of her father and the working-through of past crises. Yet she manages to turn the private into something universal.

Musically, Zaz covers a lot of ground: the album moves confidently between acoustic chanson, folk, jazzy arrangements and pop-leaning sounds. Her voice remains the central expressive tool - fragile, strong, direct. Whether in the tender ballad "J'imagine que tu sais", the light-footed waltz "Camarade" or the driving "Mon Coeur, tu es fou", she conveys emotion without excess.
