Zaz is best known for her smoky, unmistakable voice - and for a stage presence that draws in chanson fans and pop audiences alike.

"Sains & Saufs", released on 19 September, is her sixth studio album and marks a turning point. After years on the road, she wanted to create something rooted entirely in herself. The lyrics are autobiographical - shaped by the death of her father and the reckoning with past crises - yet they speak in a language that reaches well beyond the personal.

Musically, the album moves between acoustic chanson, folk, jazzy arrangements and pop sounds. Her voice remains the central expressive force: raw, strong, direct. Whether in the ballad "J'imagine que tu sais", the waltz "Camarade" or the driving "Mon Cœur, tu es fou" - Zaz conveys emotion without excess.
