Ensemble VIDA: The Little Prince Meets YOU - Narrative Concert

We invite you on a journey of discovery. A journey in search of slowness, friendship, and the colour of wheat.

We follow Antoine's advice, leaving millions of stars unheeded - stars that seem to laugh like millions of little bells - so that we may await the Little Prince beneath his stars.

"The Little Prince Meets YOU" is an approximately 80-minute concert, narrated interactively by actress Jana Kühn, with a new composition by Peter Leipold impressively performed by four musicians: violin, cello, piano, and saxophone. In the interplay of music and speech, the audience immerses itself in a world where reality and fiction shake hands. Become a witness to Saint-Exupéry's era and an ally of the Little Prince.

Ensemble VIDA seeks the "living", an exchange with itself and the audience through interactive concert formats, exploring the mutually inspiring interplay between original composition and the spoken word.

The distinctive feature of this rather unconventional ensemble - saxophone, violin, cello, piano, and voice - is not the only circumstance inspiring new sonic concepts: the composer is part of the ensemble and can thus shape the musical idea and its interpretation not as separate entities, but as a shared, vibrant process.
