Aron Boks, born in 1997 in Wernigerode, lives in Berlin as an author, slam poet and host. In 2019 he received the Klopstock-Förderpreis für Neue Literatur; since 2021 he has been a regular contributor to taz and the taz.FUTURZWEI column "Stimme meiner Generation".

In 2023 he published "Nackt in die DDR", tracing the life of his great-great-uncle, artist and functionary Willi Sitte - a book that attracted wide media attention. Boks himself never experienced the GDR; the research gave him a way into German-German history and its relevance today. In 2025 he followed it with "Starkstromzeit", about his grandparents' lamp designs and the traces of the GDR in his upbringing.
