Exe sings Udo Lindenberg - The Panic President of East Germany — Domstiftsgut Mötzow, Beetzseeheide

When Udo Lindenberg released the album "Andrea Doria" in 1973, young Torsten on the other side of the Iron Curtain was hooked for life: "I was instantly infected by that music", he recalls with a grin. He was just 6 years old at the time. In the East, getting hold of Lindenberg records was nearly impossible. As a teenager he could at least grow his hair long and have his jeans taken in. At 13 he made a failed attempt to flee to the West. The Stasi put him in a reform school, and that was the end of Lindenberg and Panik-Rock for a while.

After the Wall came down, Torsten "Exe" Exler stayed loyal to his idol. He had always loved singing Lindenberg songs at discos, and since 2008 the Halle native has been doing it professionally. With real success and the blessing of the German alt-rock star himself. Exe is currently one of the best Udo doubles around - confirmed, among others, by the Udo Lindenberg Foundation. Udo has even officially appointed Exe "Panic President of East Germany". Quite the honour. The two now meet regularly in private as well.

At Domstiftsgut Mötzow, Torsten "Exe" Exler will not only perform well-known Udo Lindenberg songs but season the evening with plenty of anecdotes and stories. It's an intimate night out for more than just die-hard Lindenberg fans - the Domstiftsgut kitchen pays tribute to the alt-rocker by serving Hanseatic specialities in the spirit of Hamburg's Atlantic Hotel, from Labskaus to smoked salmon rolls. And naturally, Udo's favourite drink, Eierlikör (advocaat), will be on hand too!
