Every year the Christ Child arrives... and brings nothing but trouble. Quarrelling families, burning Christmas trees, and stressed people rushing through city centres in desperate search of gifts. If we're honest, during Advent it feels like Bethlehem was a REWE branch.

And when everyone is exhausted from the shopping marathon, the family shows up on Christmas Eve: the single mother, the hard-of-hearing grandmother, and the temperamental godmother with her little dog. Mum cooks up a storm while Dad is completely annoyed because the goose isn't on the plate - it's sitting next to him. Perfect conditions for a "raw celebration"...

Stephan Bauer's first Christmas show is a ruthlessly funny answer to the apocalyptic sides of Christmas - with just one goal: to have a good laugh at least once during this season.
