The Phantom of Gelnhausen [Crime-Comedy-Impro-Dinner]

A summer OPEN AIR event on our sheltered terrace (if the weather unexpectedly turns bad, the show moves indoors to the restaurant).

We find ourselves at the annual congress of master thieves, where the 'Rose of Shanghai' is awarded to the developer of the most innovative burglary tool. Will it be the police remote control, the thirty-second juice, or the thousand-doors cloth?

All the big names of the shady trade have arrived. Arsene Lupin, John Ruby the Cat, Mr. Goldfinger and many other illustrious figures are on stage or seated in the audience. Then everything goes sideways. Laudator Sir Charles Henry Bredford vanishes without a trace during an experiment - to everyone's horror - and the Rose of Shanghai disappears with him. A mysterious message appears, challenging the master thieves: the Rose must be found within two hours, or it will be gone forever.

The master thieves plunge into the adventure and find themselves in increasingly absurd situations. Who stole the trophy - and who is the shadow man? What fantastic secret does the Rose of Shanghai actually conceal?

The Phantom of Gelnhausen lives and breathes through its improv performers, who keep the audience laughing while delivering a generous helping of crime-puzzle fun. A distinctive blend of dynamic actors, varied characters, audience participation, live-performed illusions, genuine suspense, and a clever plot.
