The Electric Sublime - An Evening of Film & Music Inspired by the World of David Lynch

E-WERK Luckenwalde presents:
The Electric Sublime is dedicated to the work of internationally celebrated American filmmaker David Lynch and runs alongside the exhibition ELECTRICITY, conceived by artist Asad Raza.

At its heart is a motif that runs through much of Lynch's work: electricity - as a visible force, an atmospheric element, and a mysterious energy operating beneath the surface. Selected films will be screened to bring Lynch's distinctive visual language and singular storytelling to life. The evening opens with an introduction featuring personal perspectives from members of his long-standing team, offering insight into his working methods and artistic vision.

Between screenings, international musicians and performers present live musical intermezzi. Their performances draw on the moods and themes of the films, translating them into sound, rhythm, and stage presence. The result is a varied evening that weaves cinema and live music together, opening new ways into Lynch's work.

A year after his death, The Electric Sublime is both a tribute and an invitation to rediscover his films together. All films are shown with German subtitles.
