Zappanale is the world's only Frank Zappa tribute festival, running continuously since 1990. From Thursday to Sunday, fans from around the globe gather to enjoy the wide-ranging music of Frank Vincent Zappa and related genres. Every year it's a special privilege for us to welcome former collaborators of Frank Zappa to our stage.

20 bands over 4 days! Jazz, rock, classical and avant-garde fans are all catered for - set against the stunning backdrop of Europe's oldest horse-racing track in Bad Doberan, just 3 km from the Baltic beach at Heiligendamm.

A. Ticket prices

Ticket prices remain stable despite a slight drop in attendance last year, which hasn't made things easy for us. We'd love to announce price cuts and move to a model with social, standard and solidarity tickets. How much of that we can risk and implement depends directly on how visitor numbers develop next year.

The social ticket (for students, benefit recipients, etc.) has been simplified this year and is set at a (hopefully affordable) 170 euros.

B. Camping prices

Next year there will be a single price per vehicle, covering the site costs and fees payable to the town of Bad Doberan. You can choose between two time slots - on the Suncamp or the Greencamp. Greencamp fees are higher because the effort involved is considerably greater: fees, nature conservation requirements, infrastructure setup and electricity supply.

Anyone coming just for the three festival days pays 80 euros (Early Bird), 90 euros (standard) or 100 euros (door price).
