Zappanale is the world's only Frank Zappa tribute festival, running continuously since 1990. From Thursday to Sunday, fans gather from around the globe to enjoy the wide-ranging music of Frank Vincent Zappa and related genres. A highlight every year: welcoming former collaborators of Frank Zappa to our stage.

20 bands over 4 days! Jazz, rock, classical and avant-garde - all set against the stunning backdrop of Europe's oldest horse-racing track in Bad Doberan, just 3 km from the Baltic beach at Heiligendamm.

A. Ticket prices

Ticket prices remain stable despite a slight drop in attendance last year, which makes things harder for us. We would love to announce price cuts and move to a tiered model with social, standard and solidarity tickets - but what we can actually risk and implement depends directly on how visitor numbers develop next year.

The social ticket (for students, welfare recipients, etc.) has been simplified this year and costs a (hopefully affordable) 170 euros.

B. Camping prices

Next year there will be a single price per vehicle, covering site costs and fees to the town of Bad Doberan. You can choose between two time slots - Sun Camp or Green Camp. Green Camp fees are higher because it involves considerably more effort: fees, nature conservation requirements, setup and electricity supply.

Anyone coming just for the three festival days and wanting to camp pays 80 euros (Early Bird), 90 euros (standard) or 100 euros (door price).
