Dream and Longing - New Arrangements of the German-Jewish Songbook

The Wernigerode Radio Youth Choir presents nine award-winning choral arrangements from the "Dream and Longing" edition in this chor.com concert. These works emerged from the German Choral Association's international arrangement competition on musical remembrance culture. The choir brings Hebrew and German song traditions from the 1912 "German-Jewish Songbook" into dialogue, demonstrating how contemporary composers create connections between past and present. The programme is complemented by choral repertoire that the young singers themselves selected.
