Bach im Dialog - Rethinking the Well-Tempered Clavier — Philippuskirche, Leipzig

"The Well-Tempered Clavier" heard in an entirely new light: in dialogue with Johann Sebastian Bach's chorales, arias and cantatas. Swedish-Ukrainian pianist Natalya Pasichnyk draws connections between Bach's vocal works and his purely instrumental "Well-Tempered Clavier", weaving 48 pieces into a single coherent narrative. Together with Pasichnyk, the Leipzig-based Calmus Ensemble brings these interpretations to life: the musicians link "The Well-Tempered Clavier" with texts, creating a new artistic whole.

Voice and piano enter into dialogue, language and sound intertwine into a spiritual story - a reflection on human existence and Bach's vision of music as a path to renewal of the spirit.
