On 2 September 2026, Luis Bauer reads from his book "Bestatters Diary" at Hugendubel Leipzig Petersstraße. Bauer is widely regarded as Germany's most prominent funeral director and has amassed nearly 2 million followers across TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.

In "Bestatters Diary", the 20-year-old thanatopractician from Fürth takes the weight out of the subject of death: he grew up in his father's funeral home, still works there today, and speaks candidly about what goes on behind the scenes of the profession. His first book, in which he answered questions from his followers, was published back in 2022.
