DAS RUHRICAL - The Ruhr Region Musical - Radio Ruhrpott

DAS RUHRICAL tells the stories of the Ruhr region in an approximately three-hour stage show blending pop, rock, musical theatre and Schlager - performed by an ensemble made up entirely of local artists from the area.

The programme includes a modern arrangement of "Glück auf, der Steiger kommt", a "Helge Schneider Medley" featuring Marc Stahlberg, dance choreographies and realistic animations that take the audience 1,000 metres underground. Running alongside is the story of Petra and Ritchie - a love story set against industrial backdrops and the banks of the Ruhr, exploring the solidarity that defines the region.
