Organ Treasures of Halberstadt

This city walk leads to two significant organs in Halberstadt: the Martinikirche and the cathedral.

The cathedral features a baroque organ prospect over 300 years old on its western wall. During the tour, you will learn more about the elaborate restoration and the recovery of the organ's historic light design - accompanied by live organ music.

At the Martinikirche, you can trace the history of an organ that was first played in August 1596 in Gröningen and has found its current home there. The goal is to have it sound again in the future with Renaissance tone and in its former splendor.
