About the venue

The Gleimhaus in Halberstadt is one of Germany's oldest literary museums, housed in the former home of Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Gleim (1719-1803), the Baroque poet and generous patron of the arts. His study and the famous "Temple of Friendship" - a room lined with portraits of his literary contemporaries - have been preserved. The museum hosts readings, exhibitions and cultural events tied to German literary history.
